Obituary for Leatherman

Harvey Wayne Leatherman, of Albuquerque, born August 14, 1939 in Raton, NM, passed away at 8:05 p.m., February 1, 1999 in Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque after an extended illness. He is survived by son, Darrel and wife, Holly Leatherman of Oak Harbor, WA; son, Tim and wife, Annette Leatherman of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Jordan Marie; and grandsons, Justin James David and Shane Stephan; parents, Gene and Wilda Bacon Leatherman of Raton; sister, Anna Tranthan and husband, Bill of Raton; brother, Dale and wife, Mary of Silver City; aunt and uncle, William and Neva Baca; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; close friends, Cheri Leonard, Tim and Annis Burns; and a large family of co-workers. Harvey grew up in Las Vegas, NM and graduated from Robertson H.S. in 1957. He was employed most recently by New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union in Albuquerque for 17 years. His hobbies included team penning, fly tying, fishing and hunting. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the American Quarter Horse Assoc. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution Ave., at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 1999. His family would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
