Obituary for Corelli

Patricia E. Corelli, age 86, of Santa Fe, died Saturday, January 30, 1999. She was born in London, England on March 17, 1912. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip C.A. and Clara Estrelle Anderson and her sister, Ola Corelli. Miss Corelli arrived in Santa Fe in 1951 and established the"Jay Street Theatre" and the"Corelli Studios" where she enjoyed a long career as director, actress, painter and teacher of music. She taught hundreds of Santa Feans to play musical instruments including guitar, piano, violin, drums and organ. She conducted the"Junior Assembly" where she instructed young teenagers in both Santa Fe and Los Alamos in ballroom dancing and etiquette. Miss Corelli retired from her teaching career in 1993. She will be greatly missed by all the people to whom she gave the gifts of music, art and friendship. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
