Obituary for Castro

Salvador T."Sal" Castro, 76, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, January 23, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Frances B. Castro of the family home; sons, Robert Castro of Albuquerque and Ted Castro and wife, Jennifer of Placentia, CA; daughters, Flora Castro, Stephnie Stone and husband, Kevin, Trini Taylor and husband, Maurice, Virginia Castro, Linda Durgan and Yvette Garcia, all of Albuquerque; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Montoya and husband, Louie of Albuquerque; and beloved niece, Leonella Garcia. He was a member of American Legion Post #13, and Queen of Heaven Parish. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Ruben Barela reciting. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix, NE, with Deacon Pilar Garcia, Officiant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
