Ruth E. Hartley, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999. She is survived by her husband, James A. Hartley, marriage of 50 years; son, Douglas A. Hartley and Cynde L. Gates and children, Catherine and Chelsey; grandchild, Allison Hartley; and brother, Ray Ronald Rudolph and wife, Edith of Maryland. Ruth was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. Mrs. Hartley was a long standing volunteer for the New Mexico Natural History and Science Museum and previously The Smithsonian Institute in Washington. Memorial services will be held Sunday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A reception will follow as Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd. NE.
