Santiago"Challo," 82, born June 3, 1916 in Dawson, New Mexico, died in Albuquerque, May 16, 1999 with family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice; one daughter, Jennie Verlarde-Sieff and her husband, Jim; her sons, Johnnie and Alfonso Jr. Romero, from a deceased daughter, Leonore, her sons, Jake and Antonio Sanchez, daughter, Alice and her husband, Larry Bach, all of Southern California, three sons, Joe, of Redondo Beach, CA, James and wife, Frieda, his son, Patrick, their children Desiree, Deiadra and David, of Alb., Phil and wife, Debbie, also of Albuquerque; one brother, Pete and wife, Susie of Silver City, NM; one sister, Dionicia Rodriguez of Salt Lake City, UT; and numerous nephews and nieces. Mass and memorial services will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, vicinity of Paseo del Norte and Tramway Blvd. Dad, we love you and we will miss you. You will always be in our hearts.
