Obituary for Mortimer

Forrest Edward Mortimer, 86, a former resident of Denver, CO and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 1999 in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Emma Mortimer; two daughters, Carol Simpson and husband, John of Manson, WA, and Patricia Ann Perovich and husband, David, Albuquerque; one sister, Grace Slagle, Greeley, CO; grandchildren, John Simpson III and wife, Myrna, Charles Simpson and wife, Sylvia, Penny McGrath and husband, Doug, Mark Perovich, Davelyn Ireland and husband, Scott, Tony Perovich, Carol Perovich and Kelly Perovich; and numerous great-grandchildren. Mr. Mortimer was a Pioneer of the Mt. Bell Telephone Company in Denver, CO and retired after 31 years of service. He liked people and put everyone he met at ease. He liked to fish and loved the Denver Broncos. Mr. Mortimer and wife, Emma made their home at Vista Del Rio Retirement Community. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE, with Chaplain Fabian Gagnon officiating. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Strong-Thorne, 1100 Coal SE, in charge of arrangements.
