Obituary for Giroux

Oleta Waldon Giroux, 78, passed away Sunday evening, May 9, 1999. She was born in Tuttle, OK to James and Helen Waldon, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clyde; five children, Clyde Jr., Bruce, Sharon Muncy and husband, Roy, Kat and Debbie Chavez and husband, Henry; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack and Bob Waldon. Oleta was the head occupational nurse at Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, CA. After 25 years at Hughes, she retired and moved to Albuquerque where she worked at Lovelace Occupational and Sports Medicine for 10 years. At the time of her death, she was President of the Haskell Foundation. Memorial services will be held Friday, 9:30 a.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 4th Street at Silver SW, with Canon Byron McDougall officiating.
