Obituary for Boland

William Munroe Boland, 83, formerly of St. Louis, MO and a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Easter Sunday, April 4, 1999 after a courageous battle with lung disease and cancer. Bill was a general contractor, a teacher at Bernalillo High School and President of Albuquerque St. Vincent De Paul Society. He is survived by his loving family and many friends. Here in Albuquerque he is survived by his loving wife, Carmel; his stepchildren, Robert and Isabel; 16 grandchildren; his son, John Boland and wife, Michelle; and four other children around the world. Bill is also survived by his brother, Harry Boland and sister, Margaret Dyer. Bill devoted his retirement years through the St. Vincent De Paul Society to helping others that were in need. He will be greatly missed. Funeral Services for Mr. Boland will be held on Wednesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Church.
