Obituary for Martin

W. Carroll Martin, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Martin of the family home; daughters, Cheryl Jean Glauner and Carolyn Sue Martin, both of Albuquerque; sons, Rod Martin and wife, Alice of Denver, CO and Creston Martin, M.D. and wife, Bonnie of St. Cloud, MN; and eight grandchildren, Demian and wife, Sheri, Angella, Jason and wife, Jessica, Carly, Gerrod, Paige, Kaitlin and Madison. Mr. Martin was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii. He was president and owner of Martin Group Administration Services and Claims Services, Inc. prior to his retirement in 1991. Mr. Martin had been a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church since 1956. He served on the Board of Directors for Noonday Ministries. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway NE, with Dr. Morris H. Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Rod Martin, Creston Martin, Jason Martin, Demian Martin, Gerrod Glauner, Jim Sills, George Stevens and Dr. Travis Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church.
