Obituary for Johnson

Bruce H."Buck" Johnson, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1944, died Monday, March 29, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vivian G. Johnson of Rio Rancho; daughter, Trudy Mozee and husband, Elliott of Corrales; son, Fred Johnson and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Gayle Mozee and husband, Jim Baum of Santa Cruz, CA, Janine Carr and husband, Evan of Benicia, CA, and Melanie Menon and husband, Arun of Albuquerque; grandsons, Ben B. Mozee and wife, Laurie of Akron, NY, Commander Brad Mozee and wife, Gabriela of Seattle, WA and Jeffrey W. Johnson of Las Cruces; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Lola (Johnson) Heath of Albuquerque. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his son, Bruce James Johnson. He was a Chief Electrician Mate on the USS Missouri and a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. Mr. Johnson was in business for several years as a contractor. He was a member of BPOE Elk's Club #461. Mr. Johnson was also a member of First United Methodist Church. Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Dr. Bill Sylskar officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
