Emma D. Chavez, 87, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Leona Chavez-McAuley; granddaughters, Michelle Chavez, Krista McAuley and Lauren McAuley; grandson, Andrew McAuley; nieces, Lena Saiz, Angela Sanchez, all of Albuquerque, Betty Duran; and nephew, Mike Duran, both of Phoenix, AZ. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Chavez. She was a member of San Jose De Los Duranes Mission Church and Our Lady of Fatima Blue Army Rosary Society. Mrs. Chavez was also active at Wells Park Community Center. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at San Jose De Los Duranes Mission Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW, with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. Services will be held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at San Jose De Los Duranes Mission Church, with The Very Rev. Leo Lucero, Vicar General, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
