Obituary for Montaño

Mr. Secundino L. Montaño died Tuesday in Albuquerque at the age of 69. He was a member of the St. Anne Church. Mr. Montaño was a veteran of the Korean conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was also a life member of the DAV Chapter 33 and the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 1966. Mr. Montaño is survived by his wife, Fabiola Montaño; sons, David Montaño, Daniel Montaño and Alfred Montaño; daughter, Mary Roseanne Sedillo; brothers, Nabor, Nick, Victor, Juan, and Rubel Montaño; sisters, Eunice Perez, and Frances Brown; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren: and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Funeral Services for Mr. Montaño will be held on Friday at the St. Anne Catholic church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Rachel Montaño, Joseph Montaño, Dolores Montaño, Teresa Montaño, Gabriel Sedillo and Patricia Ficher. Visitation for Mr. Montaño will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anne church.
