DeAnne S. Mikkelson, 61, a prior resident of Los Alamos for 42 years, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1993, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Chuck Mikkelson of Albuquerque; son, Brian Patrick Mikkelson and wife, Lisa of Chesapeake, VA; daughters, Carrie Marie Mikkelson and Lisa Ann Pennycuff and husband, Floyd, all of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren; and brothers, Michael Sands Kelly and wife, Lynn of Santa Fe and John Thomas Kelly and wife, Karen of Albuquerque. Mrs. Mikkelson was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community and a former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. She was well known for her Ojos de Dios (God's eyes) which were sold throughout New Mexico. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:30 p.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, with Father Antonio Mondragon reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:30, at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, with Father Antonio Mondragon, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
