Obituary for Schweitzer

William (Bill) H. Schweitzer, age 72, died April 13, 1999 in Los Alamos. He was born in Marquette, MI and moved to Los Alamos in 1951. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He later worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory until his retirement in 1988. Bill was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Organization, The Experimental Aircraft Association and the Los Alamos Ski Club. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; sisters-in-law, Anna Ridlon of Albuquerque, Bertha Olson of Marquette, MI, Mabel Tregear of Newberry, FL and Barbara Francisco and her husband, Gerald of Surprise, AZ; aunt, Eunice LaBelle of Marquette, MI; and numerous loved cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, District 111, 839 Paseo de Peralta, Suite H, Santa Fe, NM 87501 or the Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service, PO Box 693, Los Alamos, NM, 87544.
