Maria Pauline Benavidez, 91, died peacefully Sunday, April 11, 1999 at her home in Socorro, NM. She was preceded in death by her son, James; daughter, Bernice Chavez; her grandson, Tony Jr. Pollock; her first husband, Henry Pollock; and husband, Lorenzo Benavidez. She is survived by her son, Raymond Pollock and wife, Millie; son, Tony Pollock and wife, Viola, all of Albuquerque; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 13, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at Steadman's Funeral Home in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 9:00 a.m., at San Miguel Church in Socorro.
