Obituary for Sinclair

George S. Sinclair, 68, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 6, 1999. Mr. Sinclair was born on March 18, 1930 in Houston, TX; he resided in Albuquerque; he was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy; a retired Railroad Conductor; and a member of the United Transportation Union, Local #1600. He is survived by his loving wife, Mercedes Sinclair of the family home; five sons, Phillip Sinclair and fiancee, Danielle Gonzales, Patrick Sinclair, Pete Duran and wife, Roberta, Paul Duran, all of Albuquerque, and Dennis Sinclair of Clovis, NM; three daughters, Joann Apodaca of Albuquerque, Elizabeth Uribe of El Paso, TX, Beverly Sinclair of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Sinclair of Texas and Harold Sinclair of Arizona. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary on the corner of 8th Street and Iron. Final viewing will be Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service which will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Casket bearers will be David Martinez, Eric Garcia, Nick Aragon, James Burton, Stephen Sinclair and Sergio Uribe.
