Obituary for Philgreen

Floyd A. Philgreen, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, passed away in a local nursing home Tuesday, December 29, 1998. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth E. Philgreen of the family home; one daughter, Linda E. Philgreen, Shown, KS; two step-sons, Thomas Snook and wife, Rose Fehr, Tijeras, NM, and Herbert Snook; two sisters, Lillian Van Arsdale and husband, John, Lawson, MO, and Eunice M. Martin and husband, Gorby, Shawnee, KS; one brother, Edward Philgreen and wife, Pauline, Washington, IA. He was the world's greatest grandfather to six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, worked with the Boy Scouts, was a Scout Master of the District Committee and Institutional Representative of the Eagle Scouts since 1934. He was a member of the Desert Swingers Square Dancing Club and of the Presbyterian Auxiliary Health Care. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 9, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. James Massey officiating. Interment of his cremated remains will be in Sandia Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 3715 Silver Ave. SE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE, in charge of arrangements.
