Obituary for Bonteaux

Joyce Audine Bonteaux passed away after a brief illness on December 31, 1998. She is survived by her mother, Genevieve Bonto; loving partner, Matalie Wham; daughters, Julie Beadle and husband, Rod, Amy Beegle and fiance, Mike Hawrylyez; son, Mark Beegle and fiancee, Mary Nolasco; former husband, Richard Beegle. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. G. Virgil Bonto. Born September 26, 1943 in Aurora, IL, she went to school in Kansas and Nebraska before moving to Albuquerque in 1965. She received her Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from UNM and was the Center Director of YDI Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Child Development Center. She was a charter member and elder of the New Life Presbyterian Church and an active member of other community organizations. Above all, she cherished her family and many friends. She was a woman of spirit, purpose, compassion, wisdom and expressed her love of life and passion for people through music, laughter, tears and hugs. She was a genius in her ability to listen and envelope others in her quiet assurance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her memory to the New Life Presbyterian Church, All Faiths Family Counseling Services, NM Advocates for Children, Youth and Families, Rape Crisis Center, or the NM Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Memorial services will be held January 6, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at the New Life Presbyterian Church, 5540 Eubank Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Cremation arrangements were made by the Sunrise Society of NM, 891-8200.
