Guadalupita"Rita" Urban. Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1204 W. Chisum Ave, Artesia, New Mexico for Guadalupita"Rita" Urban. Mrs. Urban, 78, died Saturday, December 11, 1999 in Artesia, NM. Fr. Vincent Petersen will officiate at the services with Burial at Woodbine Cemetery. A Rosary Service is also planned for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Grace. Mrs. Urban was born July 7, 1921 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico; the daughter of Leonardo Gonzales and Mela (Martinez) Gonzales. She came to Artesia in 1950 from Santa Rosa, NM. On July 21, 1951, she was married to Solomon Y. Urban in Artesia. She was a beautician and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and Cursillistas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Ida M. Aguilar; a son, Ernest J. Gutierrez; and by one brother and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Salomon (Mickey) Urban of the home; a daughter-in-law, Louise Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Anthony Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ, Leonard Gonzales of Santa Rosa, Rudy Gonzales of Albuquerque and Gene Gonzales of Espanola, NM; a sister, Angie Dunn of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Steven Gutierrez and wife, Rhonda of Artesia, Scott Gutierrez of Albuquerque, Rudy Aguilar, Lisa Aguilar and husband, Tony and Stephanie Lamb and husband, Boyce, all of Dallas, TX; and seven great-grandchildren.
