Jerome Antonio DeVargas, age 16, of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, December 4, 1999. He was born January 25, 1985 to Rosemarie DeVargas. He was currently attending vocational school and was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Parish in Albuquerque. Jerome is survived by his loving mother, Rosemarie DeVargas of Albuquerque; his brothers, Joshua and Jacob DeVargas of Albuquerque; grandparents, Pete and Geraldine DeVargas of Santa Fe; uncles, Peter DeVargas, David DeVargas and John DeVargas, all of Albuquerque; aunt, Eva DeVargas of Santa Fe; great-grandmother, Adelina Roybal of Santa Fe; and many cousins, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 7, 6:30 p.m., at Sandia Funeral Home in Albuquerque, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Another Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 8, 8:00 p.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 9, 1:00 p.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.
