Belia A. Baca, born in Aragon, New Mexico on July 14, 1944, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 5, 1999. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She was a member of the Secular Order of Dicalced Carmelites for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Ramon Aragon; her mother, Beatrice Aragon; and her brother, Bobby Aragon. She is survived by her loving husband, Jake J. Baca; her children, Becky and Darrick Chavez, Judith and John Madrid; her step-children, Beverly Baca and Jackie and Ray Moya; one brother, Andrew Aragon; six sisters, Frances Chavez and her husband, George, Vivian Torres, Rose Aragon, Rudolpha Gomez; sister, Mary Celine, Cecilia Abbots and her husband, Dave; seven great-grandchildren, Julia M. Chavez, Matthew Baca, Lashae Madrid, Andrew J. Chavez, Briana M. Chavez, Marcos Moya and Jonathon Madrid; her uncles, Mel Aragon and Ignacio Castillo; aunt, Virginia Castillo; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces who loved her very much. Viewing starting at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen. The Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Monday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7 at 10:00 a.m. The pallbearers will be Lawrence Chavez, Robert Torres, Joshua Gomez, Ray Moya, Michael Torres and Jacob Gomez. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Aragon, David Aragon, Anthony Torres and Geraldine Chavez. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main, Belen.
