Josie Sanchez, 89, a lifetime resident of Corrales passed away on Thursday, December 2, 1999. Josie was born June 24, 1910 the daughter of Constancio and Juanita Garcia Candelaria in Corrales, New Mexico. Josie had been a volunteer with the St. Felix Pantry. She was a member of the San Ysidro Catholic Church of Corrales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Sanchez in 1989 and son, Benny Sanchez in 1998. Josie is survived by four children, Juanita Garcia and husband, Sammy of Corrales, Dioly Garbagni and husband, Johnny of Albuquerque, Ray Sanchez and wife, Corrine of Corrales, and Alice Sanchez of Corrales; two sisters, Mela Martinez of Winslow, AZ and Racheal Griego of Gallup, NM; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The Rosary for Josie will be held on Monday, December 6, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church with the Mass on Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Ysidro Catholic Church with the Rev. Clarence Galli as the celebrant. Interment will be in the San Ysidro Catholic Cemetery in Corrales. Pallbearers will be Neil Maldonado, Matthew Lovato, Alejandro Sanchez, Chris Lovato, Anthony Sanchez, Adam Sanchez, Teddy Sanchez, and Louis Sanchez. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho
