Phoebe B. Dawes, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died Tuesday, November 30, 1999. She is survived by her children, Jack L. Young and wife, Pat of Corrales, Ronald O. Dawes and wife, Marie, Phyllis Warner and husband, John, all of Albuquerque, Larry Dawes of T or C, NM, and Shirley McNeal of Albuquerque; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dawes was born in Jewel City, KS. She came to Albuquerque from Lawrence, KS in 1938. She was a member of Harwood United Methodist Church since 1946. She was a member of the Choralaires for many years. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Harwood United Methodist Church, 420 San Lorenzo NW, with Rev. Bob Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
