Obituary for Neel

Myrtle E. Neel, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Wednesday, October 18, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Weldon F. Neel and wife, Tassie of Arlington, TX, Ralph G. Neel and wife, Sally of Albuquerque; daughter, Doreen S. Parker and husband, Andrew of Belen; and son, Keith D. Neel and wife, Chris of Tijeras; sister, Ivy Mitchell of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Sharon Dunkin, Kye Chisman, Aaron Farris, Tanya Lawrence, Leah Jewell, Brian Neel, Julie Wiens and Kenneth H. Bair III; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Neel was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Weldon A. Neel Sr. in 1994; two grandsons, Mark and Karl Neel; and brother, Lawrence Lemmel. She had been a longtime active member of Alameda Bible Church. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Malcolm Bicker officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Kye Chisman, Aaron Farris, Zachary Dunkin, Dustin Dunkin, Tanya Lawrence and Sharon Dunkin.
