Obituary for Gonzales

Anne Dart Gonzales, 75, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2000 after a brief illness. Anne, a native of New York, lived in New Mexico for over 40 years. She retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools ten years ago, after 30 years of service, with most of those years spent teaching at Griegos Elementary School. A proud and active member of the Democratic Party, she also involved herself with the Grey Panthers of Greater Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Public School Retired Teachers Association, and the Old Town Volunteers. Anne is survived by her three sons and their families: Ed, Helga and grandson, Alex Gardipe of Bothell, WA; Wally Gardipe of Dallas, TX; Mark, Mary and granddaughters, Shay Anne and Megan Gonzales of Denver, CO; and her sister, Therese McNeil of Portland, ME. Additionally, Anne is survived by her devoted and loving friends, Carlos and Irene Sanchez of Albuquerque. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Sunday, October 29, 2000, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Anderson Valley Vineyards, 4920 Rio Grande Blvd. NW.
