Obituary for Lushbaugh

Dorothy Bess Lushbaugh passed away Sunday, December 10, 2000 at her home in Oak Ridge, TN, following a lengthy illness. She was born January 24, 1920, in Okamulgee, OK. Her husband, Dr. C. C. Lushbaugh, preceded her in death. Prior to moving to Oak Ridge she worked as a Research Assistant in the Biomedical Research Group (H-4) at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico. She leaves behind one brother, William E. Hale of Albuquerque NM; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Betty Hale of Santa Fe, NM; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Wesley Wilcox of Normal, Ill; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Janet Lushbaugh of Brandon, MS., Bob and Karen Lushbaugh of Oak Ridge; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gene Forbes of Knoxville; and five grandchildren, Jeff, Sarah, and Kimberly Lushbaugh of Oak Ridge, and Lee and Jacob Spencer of Brandon, MS. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
