Obituary for Hume

Frank E. Hume, 77, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 18 years, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2000. Frank was born April 19, 1923 in New York City, New York. He had been employed by the New York Telephone Co. for 31 years before retiring. He served in Europe in the US Army during WWII. Frank was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, the Telephone Pioneers, American Legion Post 118, Knights of Columbus, and had been an avid bowler as well. He is survived by his wife, Margaret C. Hume of the family home; one daughter, Karen C. Pangrazzi and husband, Bob of Wiesbaden, Germany; two grandchildren, Rob and Scott Pangrazzi; one brother, William Hume of New City, NY; and one sister, Patricia Dobson of Huntsville, TX. The visitation will be held today, Monday, December 11, 2000 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with an American Legion ceremony at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-9813 or the American Cancer Society, Southwest Division, Inc., 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
