Katherine Houg Barnash, 81, died on December 7, 2000. She was born in Ladysmith, WI, attended undergraduate schools in Wisconsin, and received her graduate degrees from the University of Arkansas, thereafter teaching in Colleges and Universities in Arkansas, Wisconsin and Minnesota. She and Stanley Barnash, deceased, were married and lived in Minneapolis, MN until they retired and moved to Albuquerque in 1970. She is survived by her step-son, Jay B. Davis and family, of Juneau, Alaska; and by many nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place and her ashes will repose in Santa Fe National Cemetery. At her request, there will be no services. Donations in memory of Katherine may be made to the Anna Kaseman Hospice Unit, Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, 8300 Constitution NE, 87110. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
