Anna Katherine Hooser passed away in her home in Las Vegas, NV, Thursday, January 20, 2000. She was a longtime resident of Los Alamos. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Edd Hooser. She is survived by three children, Anna A. Downs of Las Vegas, NV, Melvin Hooser of Goleta, CA and Edwina Matthews of White Rock, NM; nephew, James"Buddy" Elgin of Cincinnati, OH; niece, Sandra Walker of Hopkinsville, KT. She is also survived by grandchildren, Cheryl, Michelle, Wendy, Laura, Brenda, Kevin and Travis; and great-grandchildren, Brandy, Sarah, Ben, Samantha, Kyle, Forrest, Bryton, John and Walt.God saw that she was getting tired. And a cure was not to be . So he put his arms around her And whispered"come home to me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, A determined spirit was at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.Funeral Services were held in Las Vegas, NV, and burial will be in Las Cruces, NM. Contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
