Tranquilino (Porky) Chavez, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday morning. Tranquilino is survived by his loving wife, Nellie; daughters, Theresa, Gloria and husband, Steve, and Marie; sons, Gabriel and wife, Theresa and Joe and wife, Barbara. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a honest, hardworking family man. He served our country in WWII. A Rosary will be recited tonight, 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Norbert"Ray" Baldonado Jr.
