William Pershing Lewis, 81, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000 in Midlothian, TX. He is survived by his six brothers, Rolf Lewis and wife, Nelda, Albert Lewis and wife, Adell, Jim Lewis and wife, Sarah, Charles Lewis and wife, Maybell, Huey Lewis and wife, Billie, and Murray Lewis and wife, Karen; three sisters, Onealure Carroll, Minnie Anderson, and Mary Bassett and husband, Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Mose Arnold Lewis and mother, Ava; brother, Ross Lewis; and one nephew. Services will be held Monday, July 17, 2000, 1:00 p.m., at Carroll Bassett's home in Edgewood. Friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will take place Monday, July 17, 2000, 4:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Doug Murray, Matthew Jensen, Richard May, John Wegter, Marlon Halbakken, and Harlan Hamilton. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
