Andrew"Chumos" Ray Remijio Ruiz, a four year old, precious, little angel from the Lord, was suddenly called home on Wednesday, July 12, 2000. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, NM. Chumos was preceded in death by his grandfather, Esquipula Ruiz in 1989; and his cousin, Martina Artiaga in 1997; his maternal great-grandfather, Gregorio Montano in 1999; and his uncle, Melquiader Aragon in 2000. He is survived by his loving mother, Veronica Ruiz; his brother, Mark; two sisters, Geraldine and Vanessa Mendez; his grandmother, Dolores Ruiz of El Cerro; his great-great-grandmother, Louisa Montano of Los Lunas; and his padrino, Larry Lucero of Belen. Chumos is also survived by his uncle, Angel Espinoza; two aunts, Donna Espinoza and Cindy Ruiz; and many loving cousins. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass for the Angels will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Albert officiating. Interment will follow in the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Julian Espinoza, Elias Chavez, Carlos Pena, Chris Contreras, Rudy Romero, and Robert Lucero.
