Obituary for Martinez

Rosenaldo Martinez went home to the Lord, July 12, 2000. He was born August 15, 1919. He was a resident of Albuquerque for 38 years. Mr. Martinez was born in Rincon Blanco, NM. He was the son of Pedro and Cleofas Martinez who preceded him in death. Mr. Martinez is survived by his sisters, Molly, Beatrice, and Tina; former wife, and dear friend, Margaret; daughters, Connie and husband, Jerry, Stella and husband, Lee, and Bertha and husband, Dale; and son, Ross Jr.; grandchildren, Monica Link, Daniel and Shelli Vigil, Tina and Tanya Martinez; step-grandchildren, Danny and Suzanne, Eric and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Josette, David Jr., Dominique, Danessa, and Ezykiel; and other nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also preceded in death by his son, Edmund, daughter, Ella, brothers, Leo, Ted, Leandro, Pete and sister, Jessie. Ross was a veteran of WWII. He was a POW and survivor of Bataan Death March. He was a lifetime member of VFW. Mr. Martinez was a shop instructor at El Rito College. He owned Cebolla Bar in Cebolla, NM. Mr. Martinez moved to Albuquerque in 1962. He was owner of Ross Appliances on 4th street in Albuquerque until his retirement. Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 13, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 14, 2000, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. with Fr. Gumpal Domingo, Celebrant Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Ulibarri, Tom Martinez, Phillip Archuleta, Paul Martinez, Frank Valdez, and Daniel Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be James Montano, Victor Martinez, and Paul Montano.
