Obituary for Serrano

Jerry H. Serrano 54, passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 13, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Martha Serrano; daughters, Tina Serrano and Samantha Serrano; and a son, Jerry Daniel Serrano; step-daughters, Dora Quintana and Josephine Quintana; and his parents, Antonio and Rosanna Serrano; seven grandchildren, Anthony Serrano, 16, Jessica Mena, 9, Isaac Cadena, 14 mos., Jason Serrano, Justin Serrano, Joalda Lopez, 5, and Roberta Lopez, 3 yrs. 9 mos. Also surviving are four sisters, Rosa Gonzales, Rachel Torres, Maryanne Marquez, and Lucille Serrano; two brothers, Phil Vialpando and Jose Leon Serrano; and in-laws, Mr. And Mrs. Avenicio Maestas; and many other family members. Jerry was an active member of American Legion Post 69, he was a hard working man who loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed helping others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday evening 7:00 p.m., at Alameda Chapel. A Rosary will also be recited at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
