Sylvester Atwood, 60 of Albuquerque passed away Sunday, September 10, 2000. He was born in Austin, TX and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1989. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Atwood, mother, Myrtle Canada, sister, Lillian Rhambo and brother, Eddie Atwood. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Viola Atwood of Albuquerque; sons, Manuel and his wife, Barbara, Marcos and his wife, Vera; daughters, Gina Mares and her husband, J.D., Lee Atwood, S. Marie Chacon and her husband, Herman; brother, James Atwood of Austin, TX; sisters, Lula Mae Bartel of Phoenix, AZ, Myrtle Robertson, Dorothy Newman, Patricia Byrd all of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Crystal (Kiki) and James Mares, Vanessa and Novella Atwood, Manuel Jr., Desiree and Anthony Atwood, Marcos Jr., Violet, Cheyenne, Adonis Atwood; great-grandchild, Elexes Martinez. Sylvester had been a Electronic Tech. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all those he touched. Rosary will be held Sunday, September 17, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Most Holy Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Road NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105, 836-5011.
