Bertha Candler Upshaw, 65, passed away March 30, 2000, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Alfonso Garcia; daughters, Julia Solano, Theresa Sierra, and Debbie Barraza; grandchildren, Ramona Chavez, Andrew Griego, Judy Garcia, Thomas Solano, Robert Sierra, Alfonso Garcia Jr., Jonathan Solano, Daniel Solano, Nichole Turrietta, Ashley Garcia, Steven Olivas, Robert Garcia, Raymond Griego, and Michael Solano; sisters, Helen Jaramillo and Bessie Jaramillo; brothers, Albert Garcia, Joe Garcia, Ralph Garcia, Ernest Garcia, John Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss her. Memorial services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited on Monday, April 3, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. and Mass to be celebrated on Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. She will be inniched at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul.
