Obituary for Montoya

Daniel Montoya 68, a resident of Rio Rancho passed away March 30, 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Montoya on Sept 6, 1997. He is survived by five daughters: Janet Hernandez and husband, Juan, Cathy Romero and husband, Freddie, Marlene Jaramillo and husband, Orlando, Renee Montoya-Guerva and husband, Gerald, and Connie Holman and husband, Scott; Two Sons Johnny Gutierrez, and Manuel Barreras and wife, Bertha; five stepsons: Tommy Madrid, Alex Trujillo, Onofre Velarde, Gilbert Velarde, Rick Velarde and; also surviving are two Godchildren, Magdeline Gallegos, and Dominic Montoya; Thirtyone grandchildren; and 1 great-grandChild; two sisters, Helen Savala and Consuelo Perea; and two brothers, Fidel Montoya, and Abel Montoya. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment to follow at the San Carlos Cemetery. Friends may visit this afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alameda Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Scott Holman, Jose Montoya, Manuel Barreras, Anthony Montoya, Frank Perea, and Orlando Jaramillo. Services are entrusted to the Alameda Mortuary, 898-3160, Gary F.
