'Til death do us part, we promised each other, At the time it seemed far away; For fifty-five years it was always another, And now it seems short was your stay. The call was so sudden, and shocking to all, So hard to grasp and believe, But we trust you were ready to answer God's call, Although it caused us to grieve. The lack of your presence in church is so keen, Your labor of love is missed so; But there is still someone on whom we can lean, He'll show us the way we should go. You would not have us grieve and sorrow too much, Nor mourn for what cannot be; We shall be comforted by the Master's touch, Til that heavenly home we see.
