Gayle S. Wessel, a resident of Albuquerque for over 21 years, died earlier this week. Gayle is survived by her sons, Matthew A. Wessel and Michael J. Wessel and wife, Christina, all of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Iliana M. Wessel of Albuquerque; parents, Arnold and Geraldine Bekemeyer of St. Louis, MO; brother, Bruce Bekemeyer and wife, Marilyn of St. Louis, MO; sister, JoAnn Loring of Louisville, KY; and brother, Kevin G. Bekemeyer and wife, Sharon of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Gayle will be remembered for her love of animals and birds, and her granddaughter, Iliana. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE, Saturday, at 11:00 a.m.
