Obituary for Goss

Claire B. Goss, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Monday, September 25, 2000, after a short illness. She was born August 6, 1910, in Morristown, NJ. A resident of Albuquerque since 1953, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the United States, Mexico and Canada with their Airstream Trailer and later by coach. She was talented in many hand and fiber arts, especially hand weaving, specializing in colonial pattern weaving. A member of La Mesa Presbyterian Church, she served as a deacon, and at one time, was a member of the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frank; and her son, Donald. She is survived by her daughter, Marian Marrs; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her many wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 30 at 3:00 p.m. in Carter Hall, La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, with Rev. Trey Hammond of La Mesa Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the La Mesa Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Sandia Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
