Viola R. Erickson, age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, died at her home, Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in June of 1996; son, Roy, in December of 1994; great-grandson, Scott, in May of 2000; great-grandson, Adam, in February of 1992; daughter-in-law, Donna, in January of 2000; and brother, Walter Jacobson, in July of 2000 Mrs. Erickson is survived by five sons, Donald Erickson and wife, Anita, David Erickson and wife, Carol, Harold Erickson and wife, Joyce, Raymond Erickson, Byron Erickson, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Erickson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Joy Junction, 4500 2nd Street SW 87125, or Salvation Army, 6821 Academy Parkway West NE 87102. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, with Pastor Jonathan Holmer officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Donald, David, Harold, Raymond, and Byron Erickson and Gayle Van Horn serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be Saturday, 8:30 a.m. until services at 10:00 a.m. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, in charge of arrangements.
