Obituary for Parmenter

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday May 28, 2000

Judith Susan Parmenter, 1942-2000, incredibly loved by her four children, Alex Maday, Lauren Maday, James Parmenter, and Ariel Parmenter. She was the most gentle, beautiful, and loving person. The happiness of those in her life, especially that of her children, was her most important concern. Our mom had so much strength, in her heart and her convictions. Her greatest achievement was showing kindness to all that needed her and to any who needed someone. Forever compassionate, gently insightful and remarkably wise, this was Judith. To her family, she left a deep and most sincere appreciation of life and beauty and words. The eternal scholar, the seeker of knowledge and the lover of literature: this is our legacy and we thank her. She was mother, friend, confidant, and supporter to all who knew her. We love her greatly and will miss her. The world had lost a beautiful being. The best portion of a good persons life, the little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love Wordsworth. The family will hold a private memorial service. Arrangements by Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE (323-9000).
