Obituary for Loe

Agnes E. Loe passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2000. Mrs. Loe was born in Bellingham, Washington. Her parents came from Norway when they were 20 years old, and she was very proud of her Norwegian heritage. She taught school in Washington State for several years. Mrs. Loe moved to Albuquerque from Salem, Oregon in 1958 with her husband, Chester Loe, who was in the banking business. He died in 1988. Mrs. Loe was a member and Deacon at First Presbyterian Church and volunteered with the church's HelpLine. She was a member of Alpha Phi sorority and past member of the YWCA board and the Visiting Nurses Service board. Mrs. Loe was also a member of Four Hills Country Club and the Women's Golf Association. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and making Norwegian Christmas cookies. Her sisters, Esther Loreen and Nellie Christensen, preceded her in death. Survivors include nephews, Don Christensen and Jon Loreen of Seattle and Al Loreen of Las Vegas; nieces, Dolores Bach of Juneau, AK and Sue Storgaard of Seattle; and many dear friends. Per her request, she has been cremated and the ashes will be interred at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, Washington. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 4:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Paul Debenport officiating. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque 87103 or to a favorite charity.
