Obituary for Hilton

Thomas J. Hilton, age 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, passed away on May 22, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Elva Hilton; and his daughters, Jann Hilton Choate, Lynn Hilton, Andrea Hilton Thute; grandson, Gannon Hilton Thute; niece, Julie Hilton Walsh; and nephew, Jeffrey Hilton. Mr. Hilton attended the University of New Mexico and graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and served as an officer in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Upon his return to New Mexico, he was a prominent businessman in Silver City, and later in Corrales. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held privately in Colorado. Strong-Thorne Mortuary handled the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New Mexico, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff and management of the Cottages of Albuquerque.
