Mary E. Wells, age 80, a resident of Los Lunas, peacefully passed away May 25, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a member of the Belen Christian Church and was well known for her organ playing at local churches throughout the valley. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Roy Davidson; her mother, Myrtle Perkins Davidson; her brother, James Davidson; and her son-in-law, Von Chestnut. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Charles E. Wells of the family home in Los Lunas; two daughters, Carolyn Chestnut of Talent, Oregon and Charlene Tolzin also of the family home; one son, Edward Wells and his wife, Wanda of Sacramento, CA; one grandson, Lee C. Tolzin of the family home; a brother, Warren Davidson and his wife, Joyce of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 27, 9:00 a.m., at the Belen Christian Church followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will take place immediately following Funeral services. Interment will take place in Douglas, AZ at a later date. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main, Belen, NM.
