Vera L. Irving, 89, a resident of Belen for the last 47 years, peacefully passed away on Sunday April 30, 2000. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Belen, the Belen Sewing Club, and was an active participant in Belen Senior Citiznes. Vera was a people person and enjoyed receiving visitors at her home. She had many, many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Vera was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel R. Irving in 1965; her daughters, Betty in 1935; Beverly Wagoner in 1932. She is survived by her loving children, JoAnn Howey and her husband, Hugh L. of Albuquerque, NM; Kenneth Jay Irving of Globe, AZ; Karen Jones and her husband, John L. of Miami, AZ; 9 loving grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church of Belen with Pastor Jay Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in the Terrace Grove Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to the 1st United Methodist Church of Belen at 300 Nth 3rd St. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM
