Obituary for Peterson

Carl W. Peterson, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1943, was called to his heavenly mansion, which his Savior had gone 2000 years before to prepare a place for him. "I DREAMED I DIED THE OTHER NIGHT" "I dreamed I died the other night and Heaven's gates swung wide, An angel came with friendly Grace and ushered me inside, And there to my astonishment, stood friends I'd known on earth; Some I'd judged and called unfit, and some of little worth; Indignant words rose to my lips, but never were set free, For every face showed stunned surprise, not one expected me". Mr. Peterson is survived by his children, David Peterson of Albuquerque, Shirley Ann Williams and husband, Linville of Mesa, AZ, and James R. Peterson and wife, Kathleen of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Sherry Peterson of Arvada, CO; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is wife of 68 years, Ruth B. Peterson in 1997; and son, Nathan C. Peterson of Denver, CO. Mr. Peterson was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was general manager of Fox-Vliet Wholesale Drug CO. Services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4311 12th St. NW, with Pastor Randall B. Senn officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be James Peterson, Stephen Peterson, Travis Moss, Justin Moss, Erik Fritz, and Cruz Martinez. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
