Obituary for Montano

Cresenciana M. Montano, age 85, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, has departed this world to join our Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, April 27, 2000. Mrs. Montano was a lifelong resident of New Mexico; an Albuquerque resident since 1957; and a parishioner of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roque Montano. She is survived by her loving children, son, Bailon Montano; three daughters, Della Garcia and husband, Orlando, Lucella Gonzales and husband, Rey, Tommie Blea and husband, Bernie; two grandsons that she raised, Bailon Montano Jr. and Roque Montano; and ten other grandchildren, Orlando, Annabel, Daniel, John, Lorenzo, Michelle, Jennifer, Monica, Lorencita and Rey Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Alfonso Manzanares and wife, Lilia; two sisters, Loretta Flores and Margarita Lovato. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Casket bearers will be Orlando, Daniel, John, Lorenzo Garcia, Rey Gonzales Jr., and Roque Montano. Honorary pallbearers will be Raul Griego and Mike Medrano. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
