Obituary for Woodard

Donald Duncan Woodard, 86, of Atascadero, CA, formerly of Albuquerque, died Monday, February 7, 2000. Mr. Woodard was born April 8, 1913 in Durango, CO. He had celebrated nearly 51 years of sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous and was a member of the National Council on Alcoholism. For 17 years, he served as the executive director of the New Mexico State Commission on Alcoholism. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Woodard; daughters, Laurie Bross and Claudia Dignan; sons, Don and Jim Woodard; 16 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
