Obituary for Romero/Romelli

Lawrence Bonafacio Romero/Lou Romelli, 40, our beloved son, brother and uncle, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 18, 2000. Lou loved the outdoors, which included bike riding and hiking. He was recently known for the reorganization of the"Original Bike Tour of the Rio Grande." Lou is survived by his parents, Stella Fuentes and Gilbert Romero; sister, Corinne Davis; brother, Steve Romero; his nephew, John Paul Davis; niece, Heather Davis, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his girlfriend, LaVon; step-brothers and step-sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins, and many friends whom he loved very much. He will truly be missed by all. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, February 20, 2000, 4:00 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, Albuquerque, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 21, 2000, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Fr. Manuel Vierra, OFM, as the Celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be Ruben LaRiva, Kevin Springer, John Chavez, John Frey, Mark McClain, and Jean Moreau. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
